Independence Day

I spent the weekend in Idaho at my friends farm just outside of Pocatello. We did just about everything you could want to do on a farm in Idaho: 4 wheelers, horses, fireworks, football, BBQ, naps, etc. Here are a few pictures.

The morning of the 4th there was a Stake breakfast. I think I cracked over 5 dozen eggs alone. The best part was watching the farmer mix the pancake batter in the bucket using his drill and this long attachment (who knows what it is actually used for).

I met this lady (oops, I can't remember her name now). This is a Ford Model T that her dad bought. She has kept it this whole time. Pretty cool.

All the food was specially prepared to reflect the day. I made the pizza and the veggie tray below.

the latest and greatest

Here is a quick update on the life of DPH since graduation:

1. I am making preparations to move to North Carolina to attend Duke this fall. This means I am driving across the country in July. If anyone has suggestions on where to go and what to see on the way, comment below!
2. I am working for the summer for inthinc Technologies in Salt Lake. It's a finance role, but I would have a hard time describing exactly what I am doing. If we have talked lately, you understand why.
3. I made a book. 
   
   
   
   
4. I got my diploma in the mail. I made a slight modification at Michelle's recommendation. 
   
5. I have been having fun outside.

2. A trip to Bear Lake with friends. First pic is of Stephanie and I racing, with my roommate Jason giving us to green light.
   
   
   
   
3. Memorial Day services at the cemetery with roommates, Phil and Jason. We didn't coordinate our wardrobes. Promise. But it was pretty funny when we noticed it. 
   
4. A camping trip to Silver Lake, up American Fork Canyon. It's a 2 mile hike in (up), but worth every step. 
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   

Graduation

Last week was graduation at BYU. I'm done! Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure. Mom and Dad were nice enough to drive across Nevada to come for my graduation, and even nicer to sit through it.

 The M is for Marriott, no Melody. Or Mom.

The entire MBA program was an incredible experience. Another post is going to be in order for detailing everything I gained from this experience.
